Russian Diesel Fuel for Thailand in 60 days

We were told by Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej this morning, in his weekly TV programme, that Thailand will import diesel fuel from Russia and Thai people can enjoy cheaper diesel within 60 days.

Should we celebrate so soon?

I wonder who or what organisation will be responsible for this deal management. I, of course, as Thai, would like to know more details of the deal between the two countries.

As far as I know, Russia holds the eighth largest oil reserves in the world. It is also the world's largest exporter of natural gas, and the second largest oil exporter. Most of Russia's product exports consist of diesel fuel and fuel oil.

Clearly, diesel fuel is one of Rusia's major exports. To what extent will the Thai people receive real benefits of the deal? Don't blink!
